Hi my angels. I hope you are doing really, really well. Welcome back to the show. So today I'm actually filming from, well recording from my house. and this is the first time that I'm doing actually a solo episode, which I'm really excited about. I'm gonna be delving into all things mindset and healing.
If you don't know my story, the thing that got me from zero income pound months, living in my overdraft for over a decade being literally poor to generating over 1 million pounds in online sales through my coaching business has been I. Mindset and healing. So that's what we're gonna discuss today. But before I dive in, oh my God, I am so, so, so loving the feedback from everyone like you guys sharing, you guys reviewing.
So I've got a massive, massive, request today. Please do share the podcast, review it if you haven't already. This just makes sure that we can keep the podcast going, having a bigger impact and inviting on more amazing guests.and it just honestly means the world to me. So, you know, if you can share it with anyone, if you can leave a review on Apple, that would be absolutely incredible.
Or you can rate it on Spotify. It means so much to me. So before that, let's dive in. So what I really wanted to talk about, as I said before, is the impact of mindset and healing and what that has had on my journey. and I think that honestly speaking. I think that 90% of business and life success is down to your mindset, and I'm not gonna sugarcoat that because I think so many people are like, oh, it's a strategy, it's Instagram, it's reals.
ally honest, at this time, in:We'll sabotage it all. And that's what it really comes down to. So of course I'm a certified mindset coach. This is exactly what I help my clients with. But today, and I think this might actually be a two part series, but today I really wanted to go through the main shifts about, you know, what really helped me achieve this level of success.
Because I really wanna be honest, and I don't wanna like too my horn here, but I don't know. Any Asian business mentor, at least in the uk that has created the level of success that I've created. and I think for me it's been a real journey of owning my success and I'm here for it. So if any, if this triggers anyone, I'm sorry, but I'm really gonna be tooting my corn moving forward and I really encourage you to do the same because whether it's been the recession.
at happened in the UK here in:I've been fully booked with everything like events, one-to-one, coaching, masterminds, membership, everything. So I think when it ev, anyone can get quick flash in the pan. Success. That actually having long-term sustainable success, that doesn't burn you out, that doesn't give you an illness, that doesn't break down your marriage, that doesn't impact your mental health.
I literally don't know anyone who's doing that. So I, I really feel like I really walk my talk, so I wanted to share that with you. So I think the first thing is that I have a daily mindset practice, and this is literally my non-negotiable. So. I know some of you are like quite new to the podcast and quite new to my world, but before I had a business I was like the most negative person that you could have ever met.
I used to indulge in so much gossip. I used to be a heavy drinker while I was in my twenties, so you know, every drink everyone drinks. Then, I had a really poor mindset on the outside. I looked really confident, but on the inside I was always drowning in self-doubt and fear. This has been a really a real journey for me to get to the point that I am now, but it's obviously an ongoing journey, so I don't want anyone to think, oh, I need to be fully healed.
I need to like master my mindset a hundred percent 'cause that's not what it is. Having emotions, having blocks is having a human experience, but always gonna have that no matter what. What it, what you really want to get to it is to a point where self-doubt is not plaguing you. Fear is not plaguing. You can take aligned action.
Your ego's not taking control of you, and that's the space that I want all my clients, this community to get to. So. I mean, I have to, I'll literally do another podcast on my story because I think so many of you have asked me for that exactly what unfolded. but today is really about those mindset and healing practices.
So number one is my daily mindset practice. So in the morning I will always do subconscious reprogramming, and the reason why I do subconscious reprogramming is because 90% of. Show that's being run in your life. So your life is run by a subconscious mind, 90% of it. So only 10% is the conscious mind.
So if you don't actually reprogram your subconscious on a daily basis, then you will let your limiting beliefs dictate the show. And when I say limiting beliefs, what I mean by that is. No one's buying right now. Everyone's poor. I can't attract hiring clients. I can't do reels. I don't look good at camera.
I'm not very good at technology. These are literally all limiting beliefs. We are living in the best time in terms of information right now. These are all limiting beliefs and I know they feel really real because I've had them in the past. I've helped my clients work through them. That's why you have to reprogram your subconscious every day.
Now, there's so many ways to reprogram your subconscious. And hint, hint, we are actually gonna be launching something really special next month. Oh my God, it's May now in June. that's gonna be really affordable for my community, and a big emphasis is gonna be on subconscious reprogramming , because this is the thing that shifts everything for me all the time.
A couple of ways you can get started with that is journaling. And I know, I know everyone just completely freaks out when I say the word journaling, but just call it writing therapy. And that can literally just be, I'm gonna make it really simple for you. It can literally just be, 10, like 10 things you're grateful for daily.
So really small things, not like on my house, my lovely car, just like the coffee, the sun. A book that you're reading, the conversation you had with your friend, the love that you exchange between your partner that day. So I think that's number one. the other thing you can do in terms of journaling is, and so by the way, actually journaling is really good for the subconscious mind because the subconscious mind loves visuals.
and when you visually can see you are writing on paper. Again is communicating with the subconscious mind and it's reprogramming it. So that's one thing I would definitely recommend. The other thing that you can actually do in terms of journaling is, a practice where you like declare your goals as of as if they've already happened.
So I manifested, my Oxfordshire Dreamhouse here in the uk. that's a whole different podcast by the way, manifesting your dreamhouse when everything is going to. One of the things that I wrote in my journal for probably like two and a half years was, thank you universe for my Dream Oxford House.
Dear Universe, I'm living in my Oxford house. Thank you so much. So you are writing as if it's already happened and you wanna do this daily. I love doing this daily on my top five goals and the reason why you wanna do that. Is because you are then also keeping it at top of mind, but also you're reprogramming your subconscious for the goals that you actually wanna manifest and you are keeping them present, which, so I think that's really, really important.
The second tip I would say is healing. So obviously you can do your mindset practices at home. You can work with a coach, a mentor, whatever you choose to do. And there's honestly so many, like just too many to go through in on this podcast. But number two is working with a healer. So I have an amazing friend.
Previous client called Cam, and she is on Instagram at Somy. And we did a, we've done a couple of episodes together. We did a q and a session where she interviewed me, which was, two episodes ago. and then we did also an episode about a month ago around like angels. So I really recommend you listening to those two episodes.
We, we do definitely go really woo. So if you love the Woo and Spirituality, you're gonna love those episodes. I have worked with Cam over the last few years and she is a really, truly gifted healer. Now, I don't want to, throw shade on anyone, but there's just so many people in the online space that are not healed themselves, are operating from trauma, are not a kind person.
And honestly, I've had experience with these people and are like not qualified to heal. Cam is the real deal. Like I've done quite a lot of work with her over the last few years and one of the, I remember one session like she did on me the next day. I looked like I had a facelift. I looked glowing. I've actually got a picture of it, which I'll have to share some time, but she's incredible and she can really tap into your frequency and your energy.
You know, help you release your blocks. And I think practices like this have been really, really powerful for me over the last years. whether it's doing, healing with cam, whether it's, I talked about a, cambo ceremony that I did a couple of years ago, which basically is. Taking frog poison to heal yourself.
Yes, I did that. I would absolutely love to do plant medicine one day. but most of the work that I've done is with CAM and a local, healer that is in my area just because I do love in person. And Cam is about an hour away from me. So I think that that has been really, really powerful because I do believe in outside frequencies.
I do believe in your energetic field getting stuck. And this is actually why I'm trained in energetic clearing as well myself. So I actually do clear energy as well, and my clients see incredible results. I think that's also really important because I think when you are an entrepreneur, even if you're not an entrepreneur and you're listening to this, I think it's like you have to keep your energy and your frequency clear because you're constantly on a daily basis, being impacted by the outside world and you can't manifest abundance clients well from.
An icky inner world. Everyone always thinks, oh, once my outside world improves, then I'll do the thing. Oh, once I get more clients, then I'll create my website. Once I get more clients, then I'll do the branding. Once I get more clients, then I'll do the photo shoot, but it just doesn't work like that until you actually start showing up from an inner space of power and peace.
Nothing will manifest in your out outside world. And I think we are living in a world now where like we're constantly bombarded by social media. We're constantly comparing ourselves, we're constantly having negative thoughts. we are like literally seeing other people's highlight reels, which then impacts a lot.
You know, so many people. I mean, I'm very discerning with my feed now. and I just mute people, unfollow people, block people if I need to, but there are people, there are, you know, outside forces that are always messing with your mindset. And this is why healing the healing work is so important, to actually realign you, you know, and oh my God, like you guys might have or might have not heard.
Are actually coming together. Next month, on the 21st of June, to host a really special retreat day, just outside of London. The postcode is SL two. so it's very, very easy to get to. There's free parking. There's a beautiful fourstar luxury hotel. And we are doing a whole day of healing mindset work and business strategy.
Because here's the other thing that's changed this year. I don't know if you've noticed this, but my clients are saying things, even leaders globally are saying it, but the market has shifted. People aren't buying like they used to. This is a whole different podcast episode, but people are very discerning.
ou know, purchasing like it's:well, you can, of course you can. And you know, strategies still work, but you have to shift with the times. And having an online business or being an entrepreneur is always about shifting and thriving. So this is what we are gonna be including on that day, which is just gonna be. Honestly incredible. So if you would like more details of that, you can just DM me on Instagram.
I'm on Asian female entrepreneur. You can DM me the word retreat or you can head to the link in the bio.at the moment, retreat spaces, the investment is literally just like, I think it's like 169 pounds for the whole entire day to have both of us be in a luxury venue, have lunch and refreshments included.
'cause honestly, it's a no brainer. If you wanna work with us separately, it costs like hundreds or thousands. So this is gonna be such a, an incredible day. We did it last year and honestly, the shifts were amazing. Just working on your business rather than in it on the day to day you are gonna feel like a, you access a whole new level and a whole new vision.
So I'm really, really excited for that. And yeah, we've had so many amazing ladies join us already and doors are gonna be closing soon as well 'cause it's literally next month. Can you believe it? So if you would love to experience that, we would love to hold space for you. Do reach out to me.
Step number three was, in terms of really shifting my money, beliefs, and mindset was, I would say wealth and environment. So when I first started my wedding planning business, before I had my mentoring business, I was on zero income pound mom. So I think it's well known, I've said this so many times, but the reason why I say it so many times is because I want people to know that you can a hundred percent achieve your desires and dreams.
And I had really low self-esteem and self-worth, and I used to just believe that I'm like worthy of like 20 pounds or 10 pounds an hour and I really have to, had to shift my standards. I had to raise my standards internally and externally and what that actually looked like was a big part of it actually.
I know it's the cliche, but I think it's the fastest way is. I really started to invest in myself, like not even with myself, but in my brand. And I really started to back myself because I just thought, if I don't back myself, no one's coming here to back me. And if I don't do this, I'm just gonna have go back to corporate.
And I think that in business you have to back yourself and you have to trust. So even at the moment, we know we are investing so much into the business this year. So much. And this year I took a backseat purposefully from events, from one-to-one coaching. I'm hardly advertising one-to-one. I've got a few good, amazing clients, but you know, I'll probably have like one more space for a client maybe in June.
if you're interested, drop me a dm, but like, I'm not advertising it actively because. What we are doing this year is we're working on the brand. We're working on building a personal brand, and that takes investment. So we've brought on lots of different people into the team. We are trying different marketing strategies that we've never, ever done, like we are working in a whole different way.
And the reason for that is because the online world is changing, and this is obviously what I really wanna share on the retreat because so many people don't know what to do now. Like they're not seeing the level of clients they were maybe last year or the year before, or even maybe this year, things have been quiet and they just don't know what they're doing.
So they're just posting aimlessly on Instagram advertising their services, and that just doesn't it anymore. So it personal brand environment, going to. I had to really back myself. So I had to really invest in myself. So I remember basically in a way, like I raised my standards was like I stopped having, meetings in Starbucks with my, you know, proposed wedding planning clients, and I shifted them to.
Say, for example, the Ritz, I started like really being mindful of like how I was showing up. So if I was ever doing a video, if I was ever doing a post, I look put together, I know this, I know this sounds shallow, but it's not shallow. It is just taking care of yourself. That's just my opinion anyway, and I also just started to.
was not lux. I invested like:I was like, I'm gonna become a luxury wedding events planning agency. Like that was my dream. And of, of course, the universe. You know, , different desires for me. And I ended up going full-time in my mentoring business and closing down my wedding planning business just before it hit six figures.
But that's what I was just really making sure that like I. You know, I was investing in myself and, and I think the thing is, so many people, especially in this environment that we're operating in right now, people will pull back on investing. But actually the time to really go all in on investing is when times are tough.
And I truly believe that, you know, because. You then grow at a pace and you try different strategies and everyone else is just like holding back. Especially like if you're an Asian woman, a woman of color who traditionally have more Asian money blocks. People are just holding back. People are just waiting for things to happen.
People are waiting for things to pick up. And I think for me, one of the reasons, and a lot of my clients have had a sustainable business, a sustainable business over the last few years, generating income month in month out is because. We are basically, we are basically going all in when everyone is zooming out, and I think that's really important.
And when it comes to environment as well, I know this sounds really simple, but. Acting like a CEO at home. You know, when I first started my wedding planning business, I was just operating from a kitchen table and I was like, what the hell am I doing? Like, why am I like making this so scrappy? So then I like literally set up, I used to have this really small, like office, like it was a spare room.
It was tiny, but I set up a office space in there, you know, got ready for the day. I, you know, made a, a drink, would go up to my office. I do the same now, like I rarely. I don't like working from my living room. I, I've got an upstairs office, which is beautiful. Now we've got our dream house. But, it's really important that you are raising your standards in your environment, and you are raising your standards within internally and externally.
So I think that's really, really important. And just believing in your own value and not waiting for validation. You know, when I started doing wedding planning, I used to drown in self-doubt. Because I was like, am I good at this? Am I, am I gonna be able to do the weddings to a high standard? Am I gonna be able to execute?
back then, like we're talking:But I, I generated a business in that industry. Like I. You know, back then, because I just believed in myself and I believed in my value, and I just, I just didn't like, I just stopped. Lowering my prices. That was one other thing that I did. I, I remember when I had the rebrand, I put my prices up and there was a time where like people were like, no, that's too expensive.
No, that's too expensive. But I just held my vision. I'm like, if I start saying yes to these cheap clients, they're not gonna value me. I'd already had a one nightmare client. I was like, they're not gonna value me. I'm gonna hate doing their wedding. I'm gonna be disgruntled, I'm gonna be resentful. And it's just not gonna be good for anyone.
So I just believed in my value and I said, no, I, I, I said no to clients as well. They said no to me. However, over time that year when I, I think it was the year I rebranded, or maybe the following year, I. I got like my highest paying clients. Like I was signing off clients that were paying me just under 10,000 pounds for full wedding planning.
And that's where we were, and that's where you have to hold your ground and raise your standards. I think we're on step number four now, but it's, this is again related to the investment piece, but making bold moves before you're ready. I make moves in my business that honestly make me feel sick, like.
I'm just about to go away. And the last five days leading up to this podcast, I think I've had the most couple of really challenging days in the last few years. This is, the reason for this is because, one of my team members left about a month ago. She was on the team, she was on my tech va was on my team for like five years.
She gave me one week's notice and didn't do a proper handover.and we have a lot of technical things in our business, which to be honest, I don't get involved with. I literally just had like a VIP day with my coach last week, and I had so many actions out of that meeting that we are testing different strategies.
We're testing like so many new things, and it's things that I've never done in my business before. Like I've never done it and it's fucking scary. Like honestly, I just wanna be really honest on this podcast because I never want this podcast to be like just like. A sugarcoated version of my life, like I'm recording this on Thursday.
On Monday, I was like literally crying in my office because, not because I couldn't do it, it is because my ego was so loud and it was like, Sean, just leave it. Just leave it. Don't do it. Cancel it. Work this out when you get back off holiday, you know, just leave it. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. My ego was out, and the ego's the loudest.
When you are gonna have your biggest breakthrough. I just had to cry out. I just had to self-soothe. I had to coach myself. I had to journal, I had to reprogram my subconscious mind. I had to heal. And now we are literally on Thursday morning, I'm recording this as before I leave. I've literally got everything done.
Everything is done. I trusted myself. I backed myself, found someone else to do all the techie bits. That's what was giving me most, worry, actually, like doing all the techie bits and my workload. So I worked on Sunday. I've literally probably put in like 30 hours in the last like couple of days. It all comes down to bold, bold moves before you are ready.
I don't feel ready. I never have felt ready for anything that I've done in my business, whether it's launching this podcast, whether it's upgrading to my new studio, whether it's hosting events in the uk, the biggest ones for the Asian female entrepreneurs. I've never felt ready, but I've just backed myself because I'm like, I'm just gonna back my vision.
And so many times people have doubted me and been like, that can't work. You can't do this. Asian women don't invest. Asian women don't believe in personal development. Asian women are stingy. They don't want, they hagg all they barter. But here I am generated 1 million pounds in online sales from an Asian market.
So you are always gonna have people that don't back your vision and don't believe in what you're doing. But aligned action is where it's at. And aligned action doesn't always make logical sense. By the way, so this year, because we are investing so much into our business, it probably doesn't make sense from a, you know, from a money perspective, people are probably like, oh, why are you investing the market's down?
I'm like, no, now is the bloody time to do it. Like, now is the time. Like, stop waiting. So many people wait, right? They wait to feel ready. They wait to feel slimmer. They wait to feel prettier. They wait to feel confident. They Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You know what waiting does. Waiting only attracts more waiting.
What kind of message are you putting out to the universe if you keep waiting? Because guess what? The universe we're gonna is gonna reward you with more waiting. If you are hesitant, your clients are gonna be hesitant. If you are waiting, your clients are gonna be waiting. You have to talk your talk, and you have to become that version of yourself.
That is your highest version of yourself. That moves before she's ready. Staying the course, even when the path looks unclear. Staying the course when things are sticky and hard, staying the course when everything is going to ship, because that's exactly what was happening with me like a week ago. I was like, I have no tech va.
Oh, by the way, my tech VA left about a month ago, and then I'd hired someone else. And she just left. She just ghosted. I dunno where she's gone. I, I still don't know. So I had to hire someone else, but I was like, you know what? I can work this out. I believe in myself. I'm gonna take the action. And it feels so messy and uncomfortable meeting your edges, but that's where growth is.
I promise you. That's where your next level is. So that's the fourth step.and the fifth step I would say is, and I wanna make this short and sweet, is that. Just showing up in your highest version of yourself today. What, like, not waiting for, you know, the external to dictate your internal. So for example, when I was trying to hit my first six figures in business, I was like, what was six figure, Sean, do.
How would she show up? What does she think? What kind of team does she have? How does she carry herself? What kind of actions is she taking? So it's really showing up from your higher self. Like now stop living in the past, holding that vision of your higher self. And letting the universe in and co-author your story with you.
So that's what's really important. So that guys brings me to the end of the episode. I hope you enjoyed it. Do drop me a DM to let me know how you found this first solo episode. I'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts. I'd love to hear your feedback. Let me know if you've got any questions. You can find me on Asian female entrepreneur.
Just before I go again, I would absolutely love, love, love to have you on our retreat day on the 21st of June with myself and my healer. Cam, if you've loved this conversation today, you're gonna absolutely love, love, love the retreat. And honestly, I have not done an in-person day since last June, and I cannot literally wait like.
Meeting people in person, connecting with beautiful souls, like-minded souls, people that wanna grow. People wanna evolve and have, ambition is the way I fill my cup up and the way that activates my souls. So I'm so excited for that. And the other thing I would say is if 90%, I would say, of the women that show up to my events or retreats, don't know anyone.
So if you are worried like, oh, I don't know anyone, like I'm going on my own, honestly, please don't worry. You are gonna meet the most incredible women there and it's such a brilliant opportunity to network as well and expand your network with like-minded people that invest in themselves, don't have a broke money mindset and it's just not the usual clique.
I think that's really important. Thank you so much guys for listening, and I'll catch up with you soon. I love and adore you and remember you have got this. Thank you.
